Who are we?
Cribbs & Co. is a small, independently owned, family-run business founded in 2019 by me, Lyndsay Cribbs, while on maternity leave after having my second baby.
My first son was born in 2005 at 40 weeks and 2 days. I had no idea he would be a tiny baby. Weighing in at 5lb 14oz, he was taken straight to resuscitation as we lost his heartbeat during labour. He is absolutely fine, no long-term damage, and is now a very tall, happy, and healthy teenager. But in those first few hours, one thing stood out: we couldn’t find a single thing to dress him in. Everything we had was far too big. Family had to run out to find something we could bring him home in, and the choice was limited, expensive, and honestly? Still too big.
That experience never left me. And when I found myself on maternity leave years later, I decided to do something about it.
What makes us different?
Cribbs & Co. was created to give parents, family, and friends a safe, affordable place to shop for premature and tiny baby clothing that is genuinely beautiful, not just functional. We stock over 1,000 styles in sizes from just 1lb, right up to 8lb, and almost everything can be personalised or customised in-house.
We purchase all our stock from small UK businesses, and we ship everything from Edinburgh using eco-friendly packaging as standard, recycled cardboard boxes, sustainable sugarcane mailing bags, and biodegradable compostable inner bags to protect your order. No plastic, no unnecessary waste.
We aim to ship all orders received before 11am the same day (Monday to Friday). Orders placed after 11am are shipped the next working day, excluding bank holidays. Next day special delivery is also available if you need something quickly.
Award-winning, and proud of it
In 2023, Cribbs & Co. was named Premature Baby Clothing Store of the Year 2023 – UK in the LUXlife Parent & Baby Awards. We also received the LUXlife Style and Apparel Award 2023 for Best Premature Baby Specialist Clothing Store – UK. Being recognised for something I built from scratch, out of a personal need and a lot of love, genuinely means the world.
A moment we’ll never forget
In 2023, we received an order for personalised premature sleepsuits, a customer wanted them for what seemed like a sweet family proposal. We handmade them with care, as we do with every order. A little while later, scrolling through Facebook, I spotted those very sleepsuits on babies appearing in every paper. It turned out the customer was Billy Delbosq, proposing to Amy Childs, with their newborn twins wearing our sleepsuits for the big moment. She said yes!
